Drone captures

I usually shot and fly while on holidays… Since we mostly visited cities this year, where flying drone is mostly forbidden, here is a selection of a few shots taken during the year. The first set was taken in southern France during our August holidays. The small village on top of the hill is called La Laupie, a few kilometers from Montélimar.

This second set was shot in early November in the vineyards of Lavaux. These vineyards in terraces are protected by the UNESCO World Heritage listing. From there you have stunning views on the Lake Leman. For these shots, I flew over the Dezaley area where Chasselas grapes produce a Grand Cru wine.

The same day, I started at a different view point, playing with the fog rolling over the Lavaux hills. The autumn colors and vibes matched perfectly the misty mood.

But ultimately, the shot I’m mostly happy about is the only shot I was able to capture with my drone during our stay in London. Initially I planned to shoot The Shard at sunset, but due to a technical issue with my remote controller, I had to postpone my flight since we had a slot reserved to visit “The View”, the building’s observatory. Once the visit was over, I fixed the issue and was able to fly but at night. Still I think that this view of the building with the train lines lit up and the city in the background makes a very interesting photo!
