Although I now live in Lausanne, I was born and raised in Fribourg until I was 19 and moved in order to study. Fribourg is both the name of one of the 26 cantons on Switzerland and the name of the canton’s main city. It’s very famous for its old city which is over 700 years old.
Appart of the ctiy, Friboug is also very well known for the area called Gruyère where the famous cheese comes from. Here again the name is shared with the castle of Gruyère.
As usual, I like to shoot landscapes and Fribourg has beautiful ones, mainly because of the surrounding mountains, the highest being the Moleson culminating at 2002 meters above see level.
