Winter hiking

The first winter under COVID “lockdown” was a little bit strange since skiing was allowed but with masks. In gondolas and on the ski lifts, they were mandatory and specific people were checking while in waiting queues. One was of enjoying the snow in a more natural way was to go for outdoor skiing and to hike mountains with no lifts and limited crowds.

The conditions that winter were simply gorgeous. Plenty of fresh snow, amazing landscapes and great light above the clouds! Check these images to make your own idea.

In a couple of occasions, I went on my own… When doing so, I select lower range mountains, to avoid the risks of avalanches, but the result is that I can hike for hours and cross no one, only snow covered trees!
