Portuguese backery with an old bicycle in front

Lisboa, Portugal

My wife and I love taking long weekend breaks, and usually we like going to Piemonte (read the dedicated post) but in February 2017, we discovered the incredibly mellow spirit of Lisbon. It’s a beautiful city, with narrow streets and colorful house, definitely worth walking around.

It also has quite a few hills with belvederes where you can rest and enjoy splendid views. Some can be reached using the famous yellow cable cars although street art has added many more colors!

The walk alound the sea front to Belem and its famous tour is a great way to discover the city and its chill out mood. At sunset you should enjoy a drink in one the city’s many bars and restaurants. It’s really a great place to spend a long weekend.
